Terms of Use / EULA

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Expense Claimer mobile application (“App”) provided by Lee Ka Yip (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. Your continued use of the App after any update to these Terms means you accept the revised Terms.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or business expense tracking and receipt claim purposes, subject to these Terms.

3. App Purpose

The App is designed to help users scan receipts, extract receipt details, organize expense records, and create expense claims. The App is intended as a convenience tool only and does not replace professional accounting, tax, or legal advice.

4. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring the accuracy of the data you enter or confirm.

• Reviewing OCR results before using them for claims.

• Keeping your device secure.

• Backing up your data if needed.

The App may display automatically extracted information, but you are responsible for verifying all fields before submission or export.Memory+1

5. Permitted Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the App to violate any law or regulation.

• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the App.

• Upload harmful, unlawful, or abusive content.

• Misuse the App’s receipt or claim features.

6. Data and Storage

The App may store receipt images and related data locally on your device and, if enabled later, in cloud storage or backup services. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, deletion, reinstalling the App, or other events outside our control.

7. OCR and AI Features

The App may use OCR or AI-based processing to extract merchant names, dates, times, totals, tax, and categories from receipts. These results are provided for convenience and may contain errors. You should always verify the results before using them for reimbursement or bookkeeping.Memory+1

8. Templates and Export

Any receipt templates, categories, or export formats provided by the App are for user convenience. We do not guarantee that exported files will meet every employer, tax, or accounting requirement.Memory+1

9. Subscription and Purchases

If the App offers premium features or subscriptions in the future, payment will be handled by Apple through App Store in-app purchase. Any premium features will be subject to the terms shown at the time of purchase.

10. Intellectual Property

All App content, design, code, logos, and branding remain our property or the property of our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, reverse engineer, or resell the App without written permission.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every user’s requirements.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including data loss or inaccurate OCR results.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we may post the updated version in the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, unless applicable law requires otherwise.Memory+1
